Awww Naruto, you're allowed to be upset that your parents didn't put you first, that they protected the village, even if you would make the same choice today. Making a choice for yourself, and making a choice for a child are two totally different things. I'm glad Orochimaru told him that.
I'd be curious to see the Jiraiya and Naruto interaction. Even if Jiraiya decides to have a closer relationship, I can't see it developing into anything other than distant cousin who's not so bad sort of affection.
