Crossing Dreams

I debated having a worse fallout than this, with the Hokage really ripping into Orochimaru about this, but at the same time, I wanted to be fair Sarutobi's character, I honestly think he didn't intend to hurt Naruto the way he has, and Orochimaru WAS his favourite student, and that sort of thing doesn't just go away. He still doesn't trust Orochimaru by a long shot, and ofc there's that four-month mission as punishment, but it's pretty clear that Naruto's happy - probably for the first time since Sarutobi's known him - with Orochimaru, and Sarutobi isn't just going to disregard that. He's made a lot of bad decisions in my opinion but I honestly thought that he isn't the type to punish Orochimaru just because he's petty about his former student taking in Naruto.
