Ohhh myyyy gooddddd this chapter killed me deader than Orochimaru's smile when he thought he'd lost Naruto.
I too feel vindictive satisfaction at Naruto's wholesale rejection of Kakashi. Although tbf, Kakashi was I think around 13/14 when Naruto was born, so I can see why he wasn't mentally prepared to take on caring for a child but TOO BAD SO SAD.
Naruto's entire speech about Konoha and the way it treats both him and Orochimaru was SO GOOD FOR ME. His mannerisms that mirror Orochimaru's, his speech patterns, everything, only continue to show how embedded he is in his found family. And how much it means to him (I will never forgive you, god that line was PERFECT).
And Anko was there trying to think of how to salvage everything, and in the end she got to keep her family too.
And Orochimaru, god Orochimaru. We now have the final breakdown of his past, which I've been waiting for, and it would have been understandable if both Naruto and Anko stepped back, that's what he expected, but they DIDN'T and they CHOSE HIM and the present over the past, and that's probably the first time it's really hit him that he is still loved. It was just so beautiful. This whole chapter was so beautiful.
